We believe that all West Virginians have the right to produce their own clean power. But right now, we don’t have a level playing field for solar power. Utilities pay far less for solar than what it is worth. It’s time that changed.
Every policy proposal or bill we get behind seeks to level that playing field. Whether it’s net metering policies that pay homeowners for the value they provide to the grid, or treating solar-powered batteries the same as diesel generators, we design and advocate policies that are based on fairness.
We’re not asking for handouts. We don’t want giveaways. We just want to be treated fairly. Because in West Virginia, we take care of ourselves.
