Solar for Non-Profits

Nonprofits, churches, municipalities, and affordable housing organizations could really benefit from free solar electricity. They also have the highest barriers to going solar.

For instance, non-profits can’t take the tax credits that homeowners and businesses get.  And big upfront payments just aren’t an option.  That’s why we’ve seen precious few non-profits going solar in West Virginia.

But WV SUN is changing that. We’ve developed the Solar Holler Model: an innovative model that allows any non-profit in West Virginia to go solar with no upfront cost and immediate savings on their electricity bill.
